Dispatcher - Retail Systems

Join our team as an entry-level Dispatcher, a role that is a unique opportunity to support our Bizerba portfolio solutions for our Retail Division customers. A successful Dispatcher at Bizerba will have a customer-focused attitude, great attention to detail, and be a self-starter who can drive continuous improvement projects. You'll also play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and timely coordination of services, vehicles, and personnel. This role is not just about managing communication between customers, drivers, and other staff members, scheduling and dispatching vehicles, or service technicians. It's about ensuring customer satisfaction, which is at the heart of our business, and your role is integral to achieving this.

Your tasks

  • Coordinate and schedule the activities of drivers, service technicians, and other personnel according to customer requests, driver locations, and operational needs.
  • Track the progress of vehicles and personnel in real time, adjusting routes and schedules as necessary to ensure timely service and efficient operations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, technicians, customers, and other team members through phone, email, and dispatch software.
  • Address any issues or delays during dispatching, such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or urgent customer requests, by quickly identifying and implementing practical solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispatched activities, including times, locations, personnel, and any issues. Ensure all logs and reports are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Provide high-quality customer service by responding to inquiries, addressing complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all dispatching activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. We are committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, ensuring your peace of mind and confidence in our operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, maintenance, billing, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and efficient service delivery. Your role as a dispatcher is not isolated but rather integral to the overall success of our operations. You will work closely with these departments to coordinate activities and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Utilize dispatch software, GPS systems, and other tools to optimize routing, scheduling, and communication. We invest in the latest technology and tools to ensure you are equipped and prepared for the job.
  • Perform work according to the Bizerba Policy and Procedures Manual

Your profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in dispatching, call center, logistics, or transportation is preferred.
  • Proficient in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant technology. CRM and SAP knowledge a plus
  • Strong computer skills necessary (MS Office)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and make decisions under pressure.
  • Understanding of local geography, transportation regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to work in a sitting position for extended periods.
  • Office environment shift Mon-Fri 8a-5p on-call one weekend monthly
